Thank you for your interest in the Slinger Soccer Club.
The main focus of the club is player enjoyment and education of the game.
Our goal is to involve as many of our youth as we can while also maintaining roster counts that allow for
meaningful playtime and player development.
We are sustained by the efforts of volunteers; in order to have a team we must have Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Managers.
It makes the job of building teams much smoother if we have TOO MANY people willing to help than too few. Please consider registering to coach or be a team manager. Please reach out if you have questions about the time commitment and how things work.
For the Fall Season:
- Our initial registration limits are set based on the previous season's registration.
- As much as possible, we try to adhere to established roster limits to allow our players adequate play time.
- We also need to secure Team Staff for each team (coaches, assistant coaches and team managers) - please consider registering for a Team Staff position (or help recruit friends, family, community members to help coach). This can be done from our Registration Tab.
- Even if the Fall/Spring registration is still open, you may be automatically placed on a waitlist if we have reached the registration limits set in the system. As more players (and coaches) register for this Division/ULevel, we will likely be able to create more teams.
You will receive a status update by the beginning of August. Please watch your email.
- If we are able to place your player on a team, you will receive an email notifying you to submit payment to complete your player's registration.
- If you do not wish to proceed, we would appreciate it if you could notify us so we can offer the spot to another player.
- If we are not able to place your player on a team, you can decide if you want to remain on the waitlist for spring-only.
For the Spring Season:
- We survey our Fall Teams to see if there have been any roster changes allowing for new additions - we fill those openings first.
- Then we look to create new teams. To do this, we need to:
Have enough players to build a full roster
AND
Secure Team Staff for each team.
You will receive a status update by mid-February:
- If we are able to place your player on a team, you will receive an email notifying you to submit payment to complete your player's registration.
- If you do not wish to proceed, we would appreciate it if you could notify us so we can offer the spot to another player.
Again, our goal is to involve as many of our youth as we can and we do our best to accomplish this!
